I have been thinking a lot this week about the archives in Segovia, Spain.

Several years ago I had the opportunity to do some research there while on an internship.

The General Archivo de Indias is a gorgeous place - in the heart of an even more gorgeous city - Seville. Inside are the documents of perilous travels across the Atlantic, reverent lives full of devotion and of the centuries of occupation in The New World.

Someday I'll go back.
